2008 Jaguar S-type: the ‘60s Look Remade
The Jaguar S-Type is a mid-size luxury car by the British marquee Jaguar. It made its debut in 2000 as a revival to the 1963 S-Type model. The second generation Jaguar S Type made its debut in 2003. It later on had a minor facelift in year 2004 and was continued up to model year 2007.
The 2008 S-Type is a 4-door, 5-passenger luxury sedan, or luxury sports sedan, available in 3 trims, ranging from the 3.0 to the R. It is a carryover from model year 2007. â??The 3.0 is equipped with a standard 3.0-liter, V6, 235-horsepower engine that achieves 17-mpg in the city and 26-mpg on the highway. The R is equipped with a standard 4.2-liter, V8, 400-horsepower, supercharged engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims.â? The S-Type V8 packs great performance which deserves a lot of praise from auto reviews. With more gears to choose from, it offers excellent drivability around town.
